Game of Thrones
I know, I’m very late to the party, but, I’ve just started binge watching Game of Thrones Season 1. So far, two episodes in, I have more questions than anything else to say about this series.
1: Why does everyone in a mediaeval fantasy world have an British accent?
2: The good guys (so far) all seem to be down to earth working-class folk from the North of England and the bad guys (so far) all seem to be upper class folk from the South of England. Why the this stereotype?
3: Why does the Lannister guy (you know the Queen’s brother) look, and sound, exactly like Prince Charming from the Shrek series?
I have other thoughts, related to the quality of the acting but I’ll let the series get into its stride before raising those issues. :-)
Plans for our UK trip in the summer all seem to be falling together rather neatly. So far, without any assistance from us. Got to love synchronicity.
It looks like we’ll be there from the beginning of July until the middle of August. Hoping to see some old, and new friends while we’re there.
